When is Black Friday 2024?
This year, Black Friday is on 29 November. Black Friday usually falls on the fourth Friday in November, which is the day after Thanksgiving in the US.
Why is it called Black Friday?
It is thought that the term Black Friday comes from the idea that businesses operate at a financial loss or are "in the red" until the day after Thanksgiving. So, offering big discounts allows them to make a profit and put them back "in the black."
When is Cyber Monday?
This year, Cyber Monday falls on December 2.
What is Cyber Monday?
Cyber Monday falls on the Monday after Thanksgiving in the US and refers to big online discounts, which are usually offered by retailers on this day. The term was coined in 2005 and is traditionally one of the biggest online shopping days of the year.
When do the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals start and end?
The Philips Hue Black Friday sale runs from Black Friday through Cyber Monday. Philips Hue customers who are signed up to our newsletter may receive early access to the sale.

- This promotion is valid from November 14 to December 3, 2024.
- 30% off Mix and Match: Select two (2) or more select bulbs, lamps, lightstrips, outdoor lights, Hue Bridge or accessories. The 30% discount is applied to all Black Friday sale items when added to the cart.
- Individually discounted items: Products are already discounted according to the indicated sale price. A discount is not triggered by multi-buying and no further discount is applied at checkout.
- The discount is automatically applied at checkout when the select items are in your cart for the 30% Mix and Match promotion. Individually discounted items do not receive any further discount at checkout.
