Important notice on software updates, features, online services and compatibility

The Philips Hue lights, devices (including Philips Hue cameras) and accessories (other than Philips Hue Bridge) (in this section 2 referred to as “Product”) can receive software updates directly from Signify (formerly known as Philips Lighting) when connected to the official Philips Hue mobile application with an internet connection.**
Signify intends to provide your Product with major platform software updates, if any, for a minimum of one (1) year from the date of your purchase from an authorised reseller, except in cases where the hardware and/or system are not capable. And, therefore, certain features may not be available for all Products as we will communicate from time to time on our Philips Hue website (as part of this End of Support policy or otherwise) or (if applicable) in our official Philips Hue mobile app.
In addition, Signify intends to continue to support your Products with required security, quality and interoperability updates as well as maintaining compatibility with our online services, the latest version of our Philips Hue bridge (when applicable) and the latest version of the Philips Hue mobile application for a minimum total of five (5) years from the date of your purchase from an authorised reseller. *
After this date, Signify may choose to continue to provide software updates and/or compatibility with online services and/or mobile applications for your Product at its discretion. Should software updates and/or compatibility with online services and/or mobile applications however be terminated, we recommend you upgrade to a new generation of the product.
** As the Philips Hue HDMI Sync Box and Philips Hue camera are directly connected to Wi-Fi itself, they automatically update to the latest software version. To ensure compatibility with the Philips Hue mobile applications, the Philips Hue HDMI Sync Box and Philips Hue camera need to be kept up to date.
*) Compatibility with our online services requires the Philips Hue Bridge be kept up to date and this compatibility will be maintained for the last three (3) released software versions, except in the case of important security updates where support may need to be limited. Compatibility with the official Hue mobile applications requires the Hue Bridge to be on the latest software version at all times.
