Questions & answers

What do the two buttons on the Twilight sleep and wake-up lamp do?

By default, the dot button on the Twilight cycles through six scenes, specially designed to mimic the sun's natural light throughout the day. The Hue button starts a Go to sleep automation with the Sunset style, slowly dimming to mimic the sun's daily descent. With a Bridge, you can customize these two buttons as you would any smart button.

What's the purpose of the stack of lights on the back of the Twilight?

These are the precisely overlapping LEDs that make up Twilight's exclusive gradient ColorCast technology. The first of its kind, it creates a rich blend of colorful light that remains consistent no matter how far from the wall you place it.

Can I swivel Twilight's front light?

Yes! The front light swivels left and right so you can aim it where you need it — perfect for reading in bed after a long day!

How does Twilight's Go to sleep automation work?

The Go to sleep automation slowly dims the lights to help you drift off to sleep more calmly. Blue-toned light can suppress your body's melatonin production — the hormone that responds to darkness to help you feel sleepy. Twilight's Go to sleep automation uses scenes that were specially designed not to include any blue light, helping you feel relaxed to help you get a good night's sleep.

To start Twilight's built-in Go to sleep automation, press the Hue button on top of the lamp. You'll see the light transition from brighter light to warm, red-toned hues before it finally dims to off.

What does the Wake up automation look like?

The Wake up automation slowly brightens the lights at your chosen time. With the Sunrise style, Twilight's lights slowly transition through the colors of the morning sun, starting off very dim and warm, and brightening to a fresh, cool-toned light.

Can I use Bluetooth to control the Twilight sleep and wake-up light?

Yes! You can control Twilight with Bluetooth as you would any other Philips Hue light in the app.

Can I use one of the buttons on the Twilight to dim the lights?

By default, no. However, if your Twilight is connected to a Bridge, you can customize the button to dim any light.
