Guide to smart home security
What is smart home security?
The Philips Hue Secure smart home security system lets you use your smart devices to monitor your home in real time. If your camera or sensors detect motion, you’ll get an alert on your mobile device. You can even use the camera’s live feed to see if you need to warn off potential intruders with light and sound alarms.
How can I make my smart home more secure?
A smart home security system keeps you up to date with what’s happening — as it’s happening. With Philips Hue Secure, you always know what’s going on at home, and you can take action no matter where you are with light and sound alarms, the two-way talk function, and more. You can also set up a Mimic presence automation to make it look like someone’s always home, review video history, and rest easy knowing all your data is encrypted end to end.
Are there wireless security cameras?
Yes! There are two Philips Hue Secure cameras: one with a rechargeable battery and one that stays plugged in to the wall. The Secure battery camera offers all the features of the Secure wired camera except the option of a desktop stand, which you can use to place it on any flat surface in your home.
What is smart home monitoring?
The Philips Hue Secure collection lets you combine smart cameras, sensors, and lights — and lets them work together seamlessly to let you monitor your home from anywhere. Get alerted when your cameras or sensors detect motion, keep an eye on your home with the cameras’ live view, and take full control over your entire smart security system with the Security Center in the Hue app.
