There are five types of Philips Hue lightstrips:  

• Philips Hue lightstrip Plus produces one color at a time. It comes as a 2-meter length with its own power supply. It can be cut to size or extended up to 10 meters with 1-meter extensions. Ideal for accent light and highlighting architectural features of unique sizes. 
  
• Philips Hue Solo lightstrip produces one color at a time. It comes in 3-meter, 5-meter, and 10-meter lengths with its own power supply. It can be cut to size, but not extended. Ideal for covering longer surfaces, such as along hallways, ceilings, or stairs. 
  
• Philips Hue ambiance gradient lightstrip produces multiple colors of light at the same time. It comes as a 2-meter length with power supply. It can be cut to size or extended up to 10 m with 1-meter extensions. Because you can set a scene with multiple colors on a single fixture, it’s ideal for decorative accents. 
  
• Philips Hue Play gradient lightstrip for TV produces multiple colors of light at the same time. Designed to be mounted behind a TV, it comes in three lengths, based on TV size: 55-inch, 65-inch, or 75-inch. 
  
• Philips Hue Play gradient lightstrip for PC produces multiple colors of light at the same time. Designed to be mounted behind a monitor, it comes in three lengths, based on monitor size: 24–27 inch, 32–34 inch, or three 24–27 inch for triple-monitor setups.

Because of their internal electronics, all Philips Hue lightstrips that can be extended can only be used with lightstrips of the same type. For example, you can extend lightstrip Plus with another Plus extension, but not with an ambiance gradient lightstrip extension and vice versa. 

If you have older versions of the original lightstrip, they may not be compatible with the current version.  

Philips Hue Play gradient lightstrips for TV were designed specifically for TV screens. They come in three lengths, based on standard TV sizes: 55-inch, 65-inch, or 75-inch. 

Philips Hue Play gradient lightstrips for TV were designed specifically for TV screens. They come in three lengths, based on standard monitor setups: 24–27 inch, 32–34 inch, or three 24–27 inch for triple-monitor setups. 

No es necesario, pero la Hue Play gradient lightstrip se ha diseñado específicamente para sincronizarse con la pantalla a la que está conectada. Si no quieres usar la tira de luz para sincronizar, te recomendamos la Ambiance Gradient Lightstrip.

Para televisores, tenemos tres tamaños de tiras de luces Hue Play gradient lightstrip: hechas para televisores de 55", 65" o 75". Para monitores, también tenemos tres tamaños: hechos para monitores individuales de 24-27", hechos para monitores individuales de 32-34" y hechos para configuraciones de tres monitores de 24-27". Si tienes un televisor o monitor de un tamaño distinto, te recomendamos que consigas una Hue Play gradient lightstrip que sea ligeramente más pequeña que el televisor o monitor. Debido a que la tira de luz es brillante, no importa si no llega a las esquinas en la parte posterior del televisor o el monitor.

Si tienes un televisor menor de 50" o un monitor de más de 24", te recomendamos utilizar las barras de luces Play de Philips Hue en su lugar.

También puedes seguir las instrucciones del manual o ver el vídeo de instrucciones para la instalación del televisor. 

Primero, coloca la tira de luz donde te gustaría. Como cualquier luz Philips Hue, puedes añadirla a tu sistema en la aplicación Philips Hue. En la pestaña Hogar, pulsa en el icono de tres puntos (...) y, a continuación, pulsa en Añadir luces. Sigue las instrucciones que aparecen en pantalla para añadir la tira de luz a tu sistema. 

Yes. The power supply can be used with other lightstrips as well as other Philips Hue lights. 

¡Sí! Procura colocar los soportes de la tira de luz Play gradient lightstrip alrededor de las rejillas de ventilación lo mejor que puedas. El bloqueo de las rejillas de ventilación podría provocar el sobrecalentamiento del monitor.

La tira de luz Hue Play gradient lightstrip se diseñó para recubrir los lados y la parte superior de la pantalla. Si deseas aún más luz detrás de la pantalla, puedes añadir un tubo de luz Play gradiente o una barra de luces Play en la parte inferior de la pantalla. 

Si el monitor mide más de 24–27 pulgadas o 32–34 pulgadas, puedes seguir usando la tira de luz de degradado Play. La distancia entre el borde del monitor y el exterior de los soportes de forma ideal debería seguir la lista que se muestra a continuación, pero puedes ajustar la ubicación de los soportes para que la tira de luces se encuentre más cerca del centro del monitor:

• Monitor de 24": 2,5 cm

La Hue Play gradient lightstrip no es compatible con contenido de vídeo protegido (DRM), lo que provoca que la pantalla se muestre en negro durante la transmisión en streaming de determinados contenidos.
