How do I add an accessory to my Philips Hue system?

You can add a smart accessory in the app: 

  1. In the Settings tab, tap Accessories.  
  2. Tap the blue plus (+) icon. 
  3. Select which accessory you'd like to add.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

How do I reset a Philips Hue accessory to its default settings?

You can reset your Philips Hue smart light accessory to its default settings in the app: 

  1. Go to the Settings tab. 
  2. Tap Accessories. 
  3. Select the accessory you want to reset. 
  4. Tap Reset at the bottom of the screen and follow the on-screen instructions.

How do I delete a Philips Hue accessory from my setup?

You can delete a Philips Hue accessory in the Philips Hue app:

How can I check the battery status of my battery powered Philips Hue accessory?

  3. Select your accessory from the list. 
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the screen to view the latest status. 

How can I check the last status of Philips Hue accessories to see if the product still works when I use it?

You can view your Philips Hue accessory's last status in the Philips Hue app:

I want to use my Philips Hue accessory with a third-party app. How do I set this up?

You can add Philips Hue accessories to different apps in the Philips Hue app: 

  1. Go to the Settings tab. 
  2. Tap Accessories. 
  3. Select the accessory from the list. 
  4. Tap Configure in another app at the bottom of the screen and follow the on-screen instructions. This will remove the accessory from Philips Hue setup. 

I want to use reconfigure my Philips Hue accessory to add new scenes, change lights, or change Rooms and Zones. How do I set this up?

You can reconfigure your Philips Hue accessory in the Philips Hue app: 

  1. Go to the Settings tab. 
  2. Tap Accessories. 
  3. Select the accessory from the list. 
  4. Adjust the settings and tap Save.
